Water For Elephants

Posted by on Jan.03, 2010

I’m currently reading a really good story, called Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen.  Set in the Great Depression, it’s told through the memory of Jacob Jankowski.  A man in his nineties living out his last years in a nursing home.  Jacob joined the circus by accident at age 23 after both of his parents died in a car crash, and he missed his final exams in veterinary school.

I only picked this up, because I needed something to read on my flight home.  I don’t often take interest in fiction these days, but I’m surprisingly compelled by this book.  It’s a bit heartbreaking, especially if you’re an animal lover like me.

Lookin cute in the hoodie, you seem to be the type of person that will be gorgeous even when youre in your 70's lol… I just got the “48 Laws Of Power” book & the “33 Strategies Of War” by robert greene. Tying to read more than I have for 2010, information is power! And reading is good for the brain & to zone out of regular life, like with the one youre reading!
