Weasels

My ferrets love the dishwasher.  I have no idea why, but here’s a few photos of them playing on Christmas.  When they were babies, they liked to crawl inside the panel underneath.  It scared the hell out of me.  I wasn’t sure if they’d get stuck, or possibly find a way into the plumbing.  They’re too big to squeeze in there now, but I still block the tiny hole they used to get in.

I’m really bad at taking action pics.  My ferrets and kitten move too much to get a clear shot.

More Kitties

All three cats were basking in the sunlight.  I couldn’t resist snapping a few pics.  Grim and Keoki make very good models, but  Johnny Wiggles wouldn’t stay still.  I especially love how Grim looks in the natural light.  He’s so dark, I only notice the details like the pattern of his fur in the sun.  Otherwise, he looks like a black silhouette with two giant gold eyes.

Tomorrow I’m taking my Mother in to have oral surgery.  It’s nothing terribly serious, but I was alarmed when she told me she was going to drive herself.  I’m hoping she’ll be feeling okay by Christmas, because we’re making a delicious feast.  I remember having my wisdom teeth pulled around Christmas a few years ago.  My mouth was too swollen and sore to eat.  So I’m determined to help my Mom get better quick, because she loves cooking for the holidays more than anyone I know.  This will be my first year hosting a holiday dinner.  I’ve been looking up new recipes online all week, and I bought a new cookie recipe book.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.  I had a wonderful time seeing my out of town family.  I don’t get to visit them very often.  The little children grow so fast.  It makes me want to be closer to them, so I don’t miss out.  The food was awesome.  It feels a bit weird not being involved in the cooking, but it’s nice to just sit back and enjoy someone else’s hard work once in a while.  I went to Cheesecake Factory two days in a row after Thanksgiving, so I’ve been very conscious about my diet since my return.  I downloaded a free calorie counter app called MyFitnessPal.  It has every food you can think of in their database, so it’s super easy to keep track of your calorie intake and nutrition.  I’m a bit OCD, so I check to make sure they’re correct.  Anyway, I’ll enjoy Christmas dinner way more if I watch what I eat until then.

I think I mentioned I found another stray crying in my patio.  There was no way in hell I could keep a fourth cat in my tiny home.  Thankfully, my Mother and Sister decided it would be ok to take in a third into theirs! (:  Her spine was pretty visible, (you can see how thin she was in comparison to my Mothers hand in the photo) and she was cold to the touch.  She was already spayed, so she was been someone’s pet at one point.  Another strange and sad thing about this cat, it looked as though someone tried to file down her claws to the point of severe damage.  She was left outside with no defense.  After just a few weeks of love and proper pet care she looks so much better.  They named her Olivia.  I only have a few poor quality phone pics of her from the night we found her.  I’ll try to take more soon.  She’s a very pretty blonde kitty.  =^_^=

I had a great time as always in my member chats this week.  I can’t tell you how much I enjoy my regular boys, as well the new folks that pop in here and there.  You can catch me live on OHC over the weekend.  Hope everyone has a good one!

Ghost Peeps

The pics below are from last Halloween.  I’m not sure if I’ll have the time or money to do anything special this year, but I will try my best.  I don’t really want to do a costume, and if I do I want to make it myself.  I’m tired of the same old costume  in a bag type get ups.  I do love shopping in Halloween stores though.  Maybe I’ll stock up on special effect make up for shoots later.  I try to hit up the stores when stuff is on clearance.

I decided to keep the kitten.  In fact I wish I had the money, time, and space to take in more unwanted animals.  I really don’t have the money or room for one more cat as it is.  My apartment allows 2 pets maximum.  They never check, so I’m sure I’m ok.  I’ll do what I have to,  and go without to make sure my critters have a great life.  I’ve been calling the kitten Johnny Wiggles,  Wiggles, or Mr. Wiggles all while thinking he’d be adopted by someone else.  I have to get him to the vet soon, and have his little noogies cut off.   Other than that,  cats and ferrets really aren’t expensive.  I can’t imagine I spend more than $150 on food and litter each month between all of my critters, and that’s for good quality stuff.  Much cheaper than a human baby!

Pea Sized Frog

A newfound, pea-size frog, Microhyla nepenthicola, sits on the tip of a pencil.

One of the smallest frogs in the world, the species was spotted inside and around pitcher plants in Malaysian rain forests on the island of Borneo (map), which is divided among Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Pretty amazing & adorable!  Read more here.
